Westfield engineering and environmental consulting firm Tighe & Bond is relocating to a 16,000-square-foot office space in the Mercantile Center to house 80 employees.
The company’s new location is nearly 2,000-square-feet larger than the previous office on two floors at the Worcester Plaza building.
The office will house project managers, engineers, environmental scientists, GIS professionals and other support staff, the company said.
Worcester, other local municipalities and local businesses are regular customer of the firm, which has worked on city infrastructure improvements, demolition projects, environmental cleanup work and sanitary and sewer-related work.
The firm has other Massachusetts locations in Westwood, Pocasset and others in Connecticut, New Hampshire and New York.
