We have officially begun the transition from Phase 7 to Phase 8A and Phase 8B of the garage renovations. These two phases are expected to be completed by February 23, 2017, weather permitting.
With the completion of Phase 7 all parking spaces on the Plaza side of the garage are now open! There will be no further shut downs of the elevator due to garage construction as the remaining phases will be on the Foster Street side of the garage.
Phase 8A will close down Level 2 and one half of Level 1 on the Foster Street side of the garage.
Phase 8B will close down Level 2 and the other half of Level 1 on the Foster Street side of the garage.
Additionally, the right side and middle exit lanes will be closed. This will reduce the available exit lanes from three lanes to one lane. During peak exit times one of the entrance lanes will be opened up for monthly card holders to exit. Please plan your exit strategy accordingly.
Exiting through the truck tunnel will also be available, as the two lower levels of the garage will be completely open to all traffic.
As you enter the garage from Commercial Street and take the Level 1 up ramp, you will now be directed to turn right only into a two way driving lane. The left hand turn side will be closed during this phase.
Your cooperation in adhering to a 5 mile per hour speed limit will keep it safe for everyone!
